Publicity

Thinking about publicity for events. The easiest way these days is through blogs.

Heres some ways in which Lazy Oaf publicised The Drawing Club;

Blogs & Websites & Newsletters (OH MY!)

Amelia's magazine made an early post about the event...

The shop is in Kingly Court which is part of Carnaby St. The area has a website with an Events & Promotions section where they posted about the event...

Dazed Digital (Dazed & Confused) posted an article & interview on their website...

Freshness mag were a little slow on the uptake and posted an article on their site on the day of the event...

The same happened at the Creative Review blog

In the month leading up to the event, Lazy Oaf distributed flyers through their shop and inside online orders. The idea was for the recipients to draw within the frame on the back and get it back to Lazy Oaf to be part of the exhibition...

A digital version of this was circulated via their websites blog and through Myspace...
This allowed for people to create digital drawings and email them in, which proved to be easier.
